Talks About His New Invacare Comet Mobility Scooter

Dear Sir,

My association with Mobility Scooters goes back to around 1984 and in that time I have purchased 10 of them although my self I have only be using them seriously for the past 12 years.

Our first Invacare scooters I think were Venturer’s and my wife and I were using them for delivering circulars (which with starting and stopping all the time gives them their batteries a very hard life). When the new Meteors came on the scene we just had to have a new one each especially as they could do 15kmh. Again they were doing circulars and my one lasted 9 years before I have worn it out. In that time the speed controller I had to replace and being a nut with figures I was able to work very roughly how many operations it had done and it was something like 110,000 operations plus. Also these scooters were doing about 20 km a week and did about 8,000 km in that time.

When my Meteor started to become unreliable (would you blame it?) I looked around the various  models  and breeds on the market and tried out several and was just not satisfied with them so I thought “I have had such a good run with Invacare’s so why not another one”.

This is when Grant Hetherington introduced me to the new Comet and what he told me about them sealed the deal. It arrived  here in Blenheim on 4th April this year and I immediately checked it all over and then put it into service and have been delighted with it ever since. Even being winter time (I just detest the cold it will of travelled at least 200 km already. As you can see when the weather warms up it will really be putting on some k’s.

“I love my new Invacare Comet”
