Welcome to the website help of Invacare. This website has been designed to be easy to use and accessible for all types of internet users - from beginner to expert. This section of the site will give you hints and tips on how to make the most of the content and tools available on the site and help you to find your way around.

Finding your way around our website

The tabs on the left-hand side are the main sections of the site, aimed at different customers:

• End users, families and careers is for customers who are using Invacare equipment or looking for information on behalf of a friend or family member. When you click on this tab a menu will appear that is relevant to those customers.
• Clinicians is aimed at Assessors, Nurses and other Healthcare professional, who are looking for solutions for clients. When you click on this tab a menu will appear that is relevant to those customers.
• Aged Care Facilities is for customers, who own, manage or work in an Aged Care facility. When you click on this tab a menu will appear that is relevant to those customers.
• Hospitals are aimed at professionals and administrators working in the Primary Healthcare Sector. When you click on this tab a menu will appear that is relevant to those customers.

There is also a 'breadcrumb trail' below the top bar, which shows you the steps you have taken to get to the page you are currently on.(For example, it might say: Home > aged care facilities > promotions). Each of these items is a link, so as well as showing you where you are in the website, the 'breadcrumb trail' allows you to go 'up' one or more sections.

The sitemap may also assist you in getting to the information you require.

Searching

You may be able to find the answer to your question by searching the Invacare website.
You can enter a 'keyword' into the search box on the top left-hand corner of any page.

Browser support

We have made every effort to make this site usable for as many different web browsers as possible. Unfortunately, older browsers are not able to take advantage of current technology, and so the site does not look as 'designed' as it does in modern browsers, although all the information should be accessible. We would encourage all users, if at all possible, to update their browser to the latest version - not only for this site, but to enhance your use of the web in general. Latest versions of commonly used browsers may be downloaded from:

Printing from this website

We have set this site up so that if you are using a modern browser, when you print a page the printout will not include the menus or sidebars. If the page title and address don't appear on your printout, you can set your browser to add them. This is usually done by choosing 'Page Setup' from the 'File' menu, or you can check your browser's 'Help' menu to find out how to do this.

File Formats

This site principally uses files of the following five types (Users will need to have the correct software loaded on their PC/Laptops to make full use of the information available.):

• HTML
  HTML is the basic file format used on the Internet, this page is in HTML format. It is our policy to make as much information as possible available in this format. Sometimes, for technical reasons, some data may be made available in the following alternative formats.
• PDF
  Documents marked are saved in Portable Document Format (PDF). To read them you will need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader. Acrobat Reader softwareis available for downloading free of charge. Viewers with visual difficulties may find it useful to investigate services provided by Adobe to improve the accessibility of Adobe Acrobat documents -access.adobe.com

• DOC
  DOC is the file type for documents created using Microsoft WORD. This is a widely used word processing package.

• XLS
  XLS is the file type for documents created using Microsoft EXCEL. This is a widely used spreadsheet package.

• CSV
  CSV stands for Comma Separated Values and is the spreadsheet equivalent of .txt for word processors. You can cut and paste a CSV file into the spreadsheet of your choice, or download to your PC.

Downloading files or documents

In the case of relatively large files, or files that you need to work with (such as Word or Excel documents, or interactive .PDF forms), you are advised to save the file directly onto your own computer rather than opening it via your web browser. On a PC, and using the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser right-click on the link, select "Save Target As", and choose a suitable location on your PC; using the Netscape web browser right-click on the link and choose "Save Link As".
