G-Trac Technology

Invacare Corporation has introduced an exciting new power wheelchair driving technology - the G-Trac™ electronic gyroscope module.

When added to the MK6i controller, this exciting new technology raises the benchmark for power wheelchair control and performance.

The G-Trac module improves both tracking performance and traction - without adding expensive Gearless Brushless GB™ motors.

Whether driving indoors at very slow speeds, or faster speeds outdoors, G-Trac technology adds a level of control for safe, consistent driving performance.

Side sloped terrain, whether slight or aggressive, is no challenge for the G-Trac gyroscope. It allows the driver to follow a straighter path with far fewer course corrections, preventing veering off course.

Negotiating changing terrain is often challenging, especially for drivers using alternative controls, such as a Sip-n-Puff. G-Trac technology makes it possible for these users to operate with improved safety with fewer veer corrections, which can result in enhanced independence, less fatigue, and less frustration.

G-Trac Electronic Gyroscope Performance:

  • Drives a straighter path - reducing veer corrections needed.
  • Improved tracking - even at very slow speeds.
  • Drives consistent indoors, even when changing from smooth linoleum to thick carpeting or turning at very slow speeds.
  • Drives consistent outdoors, even when changing from paved surfaces to soft ground.
  • Improved control resulting from fewer course corrections for veer.

G-Trac Electronic Gyroscope Features:

  • Can be used with Invacare's standard 2-pole and 4-pole motors.
  • Available with MK6i expandable electronic systems.
  • G-Trac can be enabled with standard programs in each of the 4 drives.
  • Ability to disable in specific drives if required for training purposes.

G-Trac Electronic Gyroscope Application:

  • Power wheelchair users with alternative driver controls such as head arrays, Sip-n-Puff systems, switch driving systems, chin controls, or short throw joysticks.
  • Traditional joystick users with impaired hand control.
  • Power wheelchair users who rely on latched driving modes for independence and function.
  • Available as option on the TDX® series CWD power wheelchairs, Storm® series RWD power wheelchairs, and Power Tiger™ power wheelchairs.

It is available on a broad range of Invacare power wheelchairs. For more information on the range of chairs available on please contact your assessor or product specialist .
